Reid Stoppe

I am a management major class of 2023 and psyched to be an Ascent Mentor. Some of my favorite things to do include rock climbing, hiking, watching, and playing basketball, biking, and hanging out with my friends.

I found the Ascent program helpful because I was able to make some good friends that I am still close with today. I was able to get to know campus and find my classes ahead of time. This was a big deal for me, not only was I not a lost sardine come my first few classes, but I was also even able to help others. If I were to sum up the Ascent program I would say it is an awesome opportunity to have a miniature college experience – everything is slowed down, there are people all around you to answer your questions yet you have the freedom to go hang out and explore and do fun activities in the afternoon. It really helps you transition and get the most out of college right away. ( + you get a credit )
