Ever since taking a few classes of ceramics in high school I knew that I wanted to continue to pursue ceramics in some way. Whether that means minoring in ceramics or doing something else with it in the future I want to have ceramics as a constant thing in my life.
In the picture I used for this post I sculpted that baby yoda from scratch and it took about 6 or so months to complete including when we went into lockdown because of covid. B not including covid, it probably took about 4 months give or take.
I want to accomplish this goal because when I am sculpting or throwing on the wheel it helps me destress. When creating a new piece or a piece I’ve already attempted it helps just to take a step back and breathe. I overall just want to complete this goal because I feel like once I do, I can start creating new things I wasn’t able to try because of covid lockdown.
A strategy I can use to help accomplish this goal is to keep an eye out for either a ceramic class to open. Or I can earn enough money working, that I’ll be able to get my own materials and have it at home.
